Nordic youth travel agency opens first UK premises in Bristol
The largest youth and student travel agency in the Nordic region is opening its first UK premises in Bristol.
Established in Denmark in 1991, KILROY specialises in “life-defining adventures for young travellers”, including working holidays, backpacking adventures, volunteer projects and road trips.
The firm, which is made up of a “a social bunch of travel fanatics”, says it helps more than 50,000 travellers embark on “dream trips to destinations around the world” each year.
is needed now More than ever
With 13 stores in seven markets across the Nordics and Benelux, KILROY will open its first store on Queens Road in what used to be STA Travel.

Niclas Lundquist, UK commercial director said: “Bristol was the top choice for KILROY’s first UK store opening thanks to its young, vibrant student population and proximity to universities.
“The property at 43 Queens Road couldn’t be more fitting for a student and youth travel brand, having previously housed STA Travel.
“We’re incredibly excited to help fill the gap for tailored youth travel in the Bristol area and look forward to meeting the city’s dynamic young travellers.”
To celebrate the opening, the KILROY team is putting on a day of travel talks, prize giveaways (including five “incredible” trips every hour) and entertainment on September 16 at midday at the new store.
