Win a ticket to Base Camp Festival in the Peak District
The brainchild of Bristol-based adventurer and filmmaker Belinda Kirk, Base Camp Festival caters exclusively to those with an adventurous streak.
Hosted in the Peak District, festival goers take part in mountain biking, caving, kayaking, climbing, primitive weapons building, wild swimming, axe-throwing, fat-biking, high-roping and big-tree climbing, abseiling, foraging, fire-starting and wild cooking, before passing the night in a blur of live music, drinking and dancing.
In the organisers’ own words: “Britain’s Most Adventurous Festival. Try a range of adventure activities (including hiking, biking, kayaking, climbing, archery, bushcraft), listen to tales of adventure from explorers and party in the woods to live music and entertainment. Over 18 years only. No experience necessary
is needed now More than ever
“This year’s festival includes talks by legendary big-wall climber and stand-up comic Andy Kirkpatrick and Sarah Outen, who returned last year from her 4.5 year round the world expedition ‘London2London: Via the World’ – an attempt to row, cycle and kayak a continuous loop of the planet.” More details on www.basecampfestival.co.uk.
