The Royal Photographic Society removes entry fees
In celebration of a hugely successful first year as Bristol’s newest cultural attraction, The Royal Photographic Society has removed their entry fees to all of its exhibitions with immediate effect.
As well as the removal of entry fees, the gallery, located in Paintworks, has revised its opening times to make the space more accessible for members of the public.
The Royal Photographic Society opened its doors in February 2019 and have since welcomed thousands of photography enthusiasts into its space.

“We’re really pleased to be able to improve access to beautiful and inspirational photography, by removing the exhibition entry fee to our gallery home in Bristol,” says Mike Taylor, chief operating officer.
“We are striving to share inspirational photography that provides insight, inspiring storytelling, and which tackles the issues of our time.”
Removal of gallery’s entry fees will further its mission statement to educate members of the public and inspire a passion for the art of photography.

The gallery’s current exhibition, Sugar Paper Theoriesby Jack Latham has now been extended to January 26 to allow new audiences to experience the display for free.
Mike Taylor says: “After a fantastic first year in Bristol we look forward to welcoming new audiences through our doors to explore the wonderful world of photography.”
