15 photos of Asda in Bedminster just before lockdown
Simon Holliday normally works as an events photographer but, since the coronavirus pandemic began, he’s been taking photos of Bristol’s reaction to the crisis.
His first set of photos were shot during the brief period of panic-buying just before the lockdown was implemented.
“I went to Asda in Bedminster one evening and photographed the state of the shelves,” says Simon, who lives in the city centre.
is needed now More than ever
“Already those moments have passed – the panic-buying was brief – although the shopping experience has now been replaced with other visual oddities such as queues and two metre spaced hazard tape on the floor.
“I wanted to make a record of these things before they changed back to normal.”
