8 places to celebrate Burns Night

By Meena Alexander  Thursday Jan 21, 2016

Celebrate the life and work of Scotland’s greatest poet (or the fact that January’s almost over) with one of these Robert Burns Day celebrations taking place around Bristol. Expect tartan, bagpipes, whiskey and lots of people that appear to be talking to inanimate hunks of meat – it’s called ‘addressing the haggis’, read about it here.

Friday, January 22: St Anne’s Church, Easton
A charity ceilidh with live music and Scottish snacks, all proceeds go to Bristol Hospitality Network. £7.
