Working to improve food and nutrition, protecting the environment, helping people to earn an income and fighting for individuals’ rights. TREE AID use trees to change lives throughout the African continent.

“We believe that tackling poverty and protecting the environment are inseparable,” say TREE AID. “We build upon the self-reliance of the communities we work with, increasing not only their chances of survival but also maintaining their dignity.
“At the same time, we help these communities to invest their time in protecting the environment, not just for today but for generations to come.”
People can support TREE AID over the festive season by buying a tree for the charity
To aid the charity’s mission and vision of enabling people living in the drylands of Africa to unlock the potential of trees to reduce poverty and protect the environment, TREE AID are offering ‘Gifts That Grow’ over the Christmas period.
The scheme allows people to buy a tree for the drylands of Africa for their nearest and dearest in exchange for a Christmas card for their loved ones.
Additionally, TREE AID took part in 2019’s Treefest at St Mary Redcliffe Church, where local organisations are invited to enter a Christmas tree, decorating it in a style of their choosing and raising money for their cause.
TREE AID helps people living in some of the toughest conditions on the planet. This is a charity that both helps people in the drylands of Africa to lift themselves out of poverty and protect their environment.
