Bristol Charity Advent Calendar 2022, Day 3: The Julian Trust
The Julian Trust has been welcoming and accommodating homeless people and rough sleepers in Bristol since 1986.
The independent charity, which is entirely run by volunteers, offers people in need a hot meal, a bed for the night and a warm welcome.
The Julian Trust also provides all of its guests with a free laundry service, showers, free clothing and sandwiches to take away with them.
is needed now More than ever
The charity, based in St Paul’s, has an open door, no questions asked policy, and since the pandemic it has been liaising with Bristol City Council to accommodate those most vulnerable, who have been referred directly to its services.

A spokesperson from the charity said its stores, which are stocked with voluntary donations, are “really low at the moment”.
The Julian Trust relies on voluntary donations of food, clothing and money to run the night shelter.
It urgently needs donations of tinned food, tinned meat, long life milk, biscuits to name a few. Along with non-food items like roll on deodorant, boxer shorts and socks.
