Felix Road has a huge amount for children to explore, such as large wooden structures, tree houses, rope and tyre swings, a zip line, climbing beams and nets.
For something a little different, there is a stage to perform on, a football pitch, a nature area, fire pit and pizza oven, under eight’s area, sensory room, a music room, digging and gardening,
The playworkers on site also facilitate team games, cooking, imaginative play, arts and crafts, woodwork and den building.

Felix Road Adventure Playground has a wide range of things to do
The site was established in 1972 by a group of volunteers, at a time when adventure playgrounds were being built across inner cities to give children access to outside play and a chance to connect with nature.
The current team behind Felix Road Adventure Playground came together in 2016 and say: “We believe in the value of child-led, open access free play. We came together three years ago running a successful campaign to save the playground from closure following big changes in the council’s youth and play provision.
“The children will be directly involved in the managing of this programme and deciding on aspects of the playground that most affect them. It is our wish that the children of Felix Road will learn to co-facilitate this wonderful playground and help co-produce its future.”
To celebrate the festive period, the playground will host a Christmas Extravaganza on Sunday, December 15 from 1pm to 5.30pm. There will be a grotto, talent show, Christmas dinner and festive activities.
Felix Road Adventure Playground is a vital connection to nature for children living in the inner city, and the team behind the charity are an important asset to help Easton families explore the outside together in a safe environment.
