A free walking tour of Bristol

By Sophie Nichols  Friday Feb 5, 2016

Inspired by his travels around the world, James Bailey now takes free walking tours of Bristol.

Leaving twice a day, seven days a week, at 10.30am and 2.30pm, the walks start at the Victoria Rooms in Clifton, with James sharing his knowledge about the history, lifestyle and culture of Bristol on the three-mile tour.

James runs his business with a turn-up-on-the-day, pay-what-you-think basis, so no booking ahead is needed.

The Suspension Bridge is of course on the itinerary, as are other locations including Bristol Cathedral, the Floating Harbour, Cabot Tower and a few stencils by Banksy.

It’s not just about the buildings though, with James also showing the former homes of WG Grace and Cary Grant, and where Napoleon III’s wife went to school.
