By Maylis Dudouet  Friday Feb 21, 2020

To support small independent businesses and capture the essence of Bristol and , Olivia Tripp, the founder of digital marketing agency Weekend:IN, has developed a new guidebook.

Olivia has teamed up with other Bristol-based creatives to create a guidebook that captures the city they love.

IN Bristol will feature a list of over 150 independent venues and various extra pages featuring events along with interesting tips as well as a tear-out schedule included in the guide to plan daily trips in the city.

The kickstarter is hoping to raise £10,000 to fund the guide’s production.

“Bristol is my home town and I believe there is no better way to experience the spirit of this city than through the eyes of its independents.

“I’ve seen first-hand the rise of inspiring brands here and I’m always seeking out the best places to shop, eat and do something that supports the city’s array of independent venues,” says Olivia.

A fundraising page was launched on February 18 by the IN Bristol team on Kickstarter, in order to finance their work, rewarding its donators with wholesale packages and merchandise bundles.

With the help of donations and public support, IN Bristol are hoping to raise £10,000 to fund the photography, design and printing of the guide book by March 18.

The guide hopes to show the city to its full potential.

Local designer Niketa Tripp will join photographer Kasia Fiszer to create the colourful and interactive guide, published by Taylor Bros on sustainably sourced paper.

The guide will be split by area with eight in total, each with its own distinctive personality, making it easier for people to explore and experience the different areas of the entire city. In its pages, readers will find places to eat, drink, do, shop, dance and stay throughout the city.

Olivia adds: “We’re imagining both residents and first-time visitors wandering vibrant streets, our trusted guidebook in hand, growing to love this city as much as we do.”
