In pictures: pop-up Christmas in Bristol

In the lead-up to Christmas, there’s no better way to spend a cold and dark evening in one of the Christmas bars and markets that have popped up in Broadmead, on Gloucester Road and in Millennium Square.

Enjoy a hot drink, a German sausage, some ice skating or browse the stalls. The Christmas lights, decorations and music are sure to get you in the festive spirit.

The shopping streets of Broadmead fill with pop-up stalls

The Xmas Tavern is a pop-up bar on Gloucester Road, on the corner of Berkeley Road

Have a drink of beer or mulled cider, or even a roasted marshmallow shot

Cuddle up on the sofa or sit around the warm fire. Christmas singers will be performing at the bar on Saturday December 15 from 7pm-11pm.

We The Curious have set up a ice rink in Millennium Square

The SkyView Wheel is up as part of Millennium Square’s Festive Fair until January 3

Food stalls sell sweet treats and Yorkshire pudding wraps, plus there are candy cane trampolines

The apres pop-up bar in Millennium Square is decorated with fir tree boughs

Drink your mulled wine at the bar, or take a seat in the outdoor booths
