Preview: Fresh off the Block – Creative Industries Degree Show 2019

By Adam Burrows  Tuesday Apr 30, 2019

As students put the finishing touches to their final projects, the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is inviting the public to discover their work at this year’s Creative Industries degree show.

The show is always one of the highlights of the UWE Bristol calendar, and this year promises to be another fantastic showcase, built around the student-led theme “Fresh off the Block.”

Students from the Creative Industries will be showcasing work from a range of disciplines including photography, visual arts, illustration and filmmaking.

Professor Jane Roscoe, Pro Vice Chancellor and the Faculty’s Executive Dean, said: “We’re incredibly proud of all of our students at UWE Bristol and the degree show is the perfect platform for them to share their talents.

“Lots of our students have already secured fantastic roles as they begin their careers whilst others will go on to freelance or establish their own businesses. We’re also delighted to be welcoming many back for postgraduate study.”

More than 500 students will have their work on display, in one of the largest shows of contemporary art and design in Bristol.

The degree show is an amazing opportunity for students to display their work next to so many brilliant creatives and a really special way to round off their time at UWE Bristol.

The Creative Industries Degree Show 2019 runs from 7-12 June across the University’s City Campus locations Arnolfini, Bower Ashton and Spike Island.
