LEE ‘SCRATCH’ PERRY: One of the most legendary Jamaican artists of all time heads to Bristol for the last leg of his 40th Anniversary UK tour. Fiddlers Club, 7.30pm.

WILDSCREEN DAY 3: The third day of public screenings presents Unchartered Amazon, Magical Moors and Unbranded. Watershed.

BUBBLE COMEDY: FERN BRADY: All-female special for the Grain Barge’s popular comedy night. Grain Barge, 7.30pm.

AN EVENING WITH AN IMMIGRANT: Award-winning poet and playwright Inua Ellams presents his ridiculous, fantastic and poignant piece of autobiographical storytelling. Cube, 8pm.

SUDDEN INFANT/ LICE/ HACKER: Joke Lanz’s Sudden Infant project blurs the line between body art, noise and musical improvisation. Main support comes from explosive Bristol post-punk band Lice. Exchange, 7.30pm.

MOZART’S DON GIOVANNI: Chamber-opera specialists Opera Project continue their long and fruitful partnership with Tobacco Factory Theatres, collaborating on Mozart’s great opera. Tobacco Factory, 7.30pm.

AWESOME TAPES FROM AFRICA SHOWCASE: Brian Shimkovitz presents two fascinating artists from Ghana – DJ Katapila, and funk / synthwave specialist Ata Kak. The Lantern, 7pm.

RSC LIVE: KING LEAR: Antony Sher takes the title role in the Bard’s tragedy. Various venues.

ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL: Free screening of documentary following the classic rock band Anvil. You’ll laugh and cry at their journey of misfortune and friendship. Bierkeller, 7.30pm.
