The Trade Horizons Roadshow is coming to the South West to talk all things Brexit

This June and July Export for Growth will be delivering The Trade Horizons Roadshow across the South West of England. It has been designed to help businesses in the region prepare for the challenges and opportunities that Brexit will inevitably bring. Its aim is to support businesses to take full advantage of potential future international sales opportunities, and prepare for any risks associated with Brexit through free expert advice.
From June 21st to July 3rd the roadshow will visit four locations in Cornwall, Bristol, Swindon and Exeter. Each event will host 5 keynote speakers’ two of which will be successful international British businesses and the others Brexit experts who will discuss potential future issues as well as opportunities and trends. Following the morning sessions visitors will be able to explore the Export Advice Zones here they can access a wide range of free support tailored to the needs of their business, such as a free ‘Brexit Health Check’, or advice on how to pitch their product in China.
Brands including Green & Blacks, Innocent Drinks and Beer52 will all appearing at the event making it the perfect place to gain inspiration from businesses who trade successfully both in the UK and overseas.
The Trade Horizons Roadshow is part of a wider series of activity Business West is delivering in preparation for Brexit. Last month at the company headquarters, Leigh Court, Business West teamed up with Business Showcase South West to welcome Secretary of State for International Trade, the Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox. He addressed 150 local businesses on the positive position the South West currently finds itself, in terms of export opportunity and growth.
Export for Growth and Business West also has a presence at the region’s largest business event Business Showcase South West which is returning to Ashton Gate on May 16th. Here they will be hosting a networking breakfast and be available to give advice and support to attendees throughout the day.
