TV presenter Kate Humble records video of support for Bristol Zoo

By Lowie Trevena  Tuesday Apr 21, 2020

Wildlife TV presenter Kate Humble has recorded a video at the Wild Place Project, asking people to donate to Bristol Zoological Society’s coronavirus appeal.

The BZS Appeal has been launched following the temporary closure of its sites in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

The appeal, which is asking for members of the public to donate money to the charity, will safeguard Bristol Zoo Gardens and the Wild Place Project, feed thousands of animals, pay keepers and veterinary staff and maintain infrastructure.

Kate Humble, who is known for presenting TV shows such as Animal Park and Springwatch, encourages the public to donate to the BZS Appeal, saying: “The society relies on the income from visitors  to support its vital work.

“Now, obviously, you can’t visit at the moment but, if you are able to donate, please go to the donation page on the website.”
