10 more people charged with riot

More people will be appearing in court following the riot which took place in Bristol city centre on March 21.

Ten more people have now been charged with riot, with two of these also charged with arson and a third also facing a charge of outraging public decency.

The following people will appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on July 2:

  • Shaun Davies, 44, from Totterdown: charged with riot
  • Charly Pitman, 23, from Brislington: charged with riot
  • A 26-year-old man from Bristol city centre: charged with riot
  • Francesca Horn, 24, from Montpelier: charged with riot
  • Joseph Paxton, 29, from Montpelier: charged with riot
  • Richard Fox, 30, of no fixed address: charged with riot
  • A 25-year-old man from Hartcliffe: charged with riot and arson
  • Carmen Fitchett, 22, from Bishopston: charged with riot
  • Matthew O’Neill, 30, from Patchway: charged with riot and arson
  • Indigo Bond, 19 , from Fishponds: charged with riot and outraging public decency

Sixty-five people have been arrested in connection with the riot outside Bridewell police station and 21 people have now been charged.

Nine of those previously charged are due to make their first appearance at Bristol Crown Court on June 22.
