12 years for dealer caught with drugs and gun
A drug dealer from Montpelier found with heroin, cocaine, cannabis and a gun has been jailed for 12 years as part of a major undercover police operation to clear Easton and St Paul’s of street level dealers.
Tyrone Campbell, 33, of Cromwell Road, was arrested after being spotted by plain clothes officers dealing from a car in the city centre.
A search uncovered a small handgun and ammunition in his bag, as well as a large amount of heroin, cocaine and cannabis.

Trinity Road-based PC Richard Glanville, said: “We’re really pleased that Tyrone has received a long sentence that reflects the threat he posed to our communities.
“Not only did he have a large amount of Class A drugs on him, ready to deal, but the fact he was carrying a handgun and ammunition shows the level of crime such people are involved in.
“We’re committed to keeping the pressure up on anyone involved in dealing drugs on our streets.”
Anyone with information about drug dealing can report it online, on the non-emergency number 101, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
