375 new homes planned for former ambulance station site

By Kati Harris  Tuesday Aug 22, 2017

A planning application that would see a 26-storey tower block built in central Bristol is currently being reviewed. The brownfield site near Castle Park, formerly the ambulance station, could be turned into 375 new homes in the latest of a series of attempts to regenerate the site.

The city-centre site borders Castle Park

Plans for the site have been submitted by Bristol City Council, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and property development company Linkcity.

Bristol City Council say that 20 per cent of the development would be allocated as affordable housing, with 58 units set aside for social rent and 17 for shared ownership.
