Bristol pensioner threatened with knife

A 84-year-old pensioner has been attacked by a man in Southmead.

Nora Quigley was threatened with a knife and then kicked to the ground as she walked along Greystoke Avenue in Southmead, around lunchtime on Wednesday 12th November. She had just left the nearby Aldi supermarket.

The pensioner, who is just 4ft tall, was approached by the man who took out a knife and threatened her.

He then kicked her to the back of the leg causing her to fall over and vomit. The man then ran off towards Aldi.

He is described as a white male, with long grey hair, in his 40s and of medium build. He was wearing a short grey coat and blue or grey jeans.

Mrs Quigley is described as 4ft tall and wearing a blue coat. She had a shopping trolley with her at the time of the attack.

Avon and Somerset police are appealing to anyone with information to contact DC Mai Wong on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
