A TreeFest of delights at St Mary Redcliffe
The annual TreeFest is back at St Mary Redcliffe.
More than 70 trees decorated by charities, school children, businesses and schools are on display at the festival and people can vote for their favourite tree.
Last year’s TreeFest raised £4500 for charity and this year the event will be supporting Bristol Underprivileged Children’s Charity, the Arc Café and St Mary Redcliffe Church outreach programme.
Bristol’s year as European Green Capital has provided the theme for several trees this year.
Go Green is displaying a tree featuring reused, recycled and made from waste decorations while property consultancy Alder King’s tree features natural decorations including flowers, fruits, twigs and berries.
United Communities Housing Association has worked with its residents and LitterARTI to fashion Christmas decorations from materials collected during litter-picks.
The Environment Agency has adopted the theme of ‘A tree is for life, not just for Christmas’.
Treefest is open daily from 10am to 5pm from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th December.
Entry is free although donations are asked for three charities: Bristol Underprivileged Children’s Charity, the Arc Café and St Mary Redcliffe Church to support its outreach programme.
