Adorable video of Bristol Zoo’s baby gorilla

Bristol Zoo has released film footage of its youngest gorilla baby, born in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The video shows the tiny Western lowland gorilla, who does not yet have a name, snuggling up to mum Touni and snoozing in her arms as they build a special bond.

The Gorilla House is now open to the public after a brief closure to allow mother and baby time to rest.

In a statement, the zoo said that the baby appears strong and Touni is being very attentive.

Keepers will be monitoring both mum and baby very closely over the coming days and weeks.
