Appeal after dozen motorbikes stolen
A small business in Bedminster selling motocross bikes and accessories is under threat before it has even opened after thieves made off with thousands of pounds of bikes in an overnight raid.
GB Motorcross was due to open soon at the Sheene Road industrial estate, selling itself as a “one-stop shop for everything motorcross”.
But the owners are counting the cost of a break-in last Monday when 12 bikes, helmets and tools and accessories were stolen from inside their premises.
is needed now More than ever
Police are now appealing for witnesses. PC Ali Norman said: “The victim was in the process of setting up the business having obtained planning permission for the unit but had not yet opened.
“It’s possible the stolen motocross bikes may still be in the Bristol area and due to the quantity will be hard to hide. We are asking that anyone who has recently bought a motocross bike, or has been offered one for sale, to please contact us. Equally, anyone who has come across any of the motocross bikes pictured or similar, or anyone with any information relating to the burglary, please contact us.”
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 90723/14, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
