Appeal after jogger attacked with knife

Police have released an e-fit of a man who grabbed a jogger and threatened her with a knife on Purdown.

The victim was running in Lockleaze, between the BT mast and Stoke Park, shortly before 6pm on June 17 when she was attacked. She managed to escape with minor injuries and the assailant ran off.

He is described as a mixed heritage, about 5ft 5ins tall, between 25-30 years old, of medium build, with a round face and short curly hair.

A police spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at about 6pm on June 17 and who may have seen a man matching the description of the suspect. 

“Anyone able to help is asked to contact Bristol investigations on 101, quoting reference 5216132917.”
