Armed robbers threaten Filton Avenue Co-op staff

CCTV footage has been released showing the shocking moment armed robbers targeted a Co-op in Filton Avenue.

The four men, some brandishing baseball bats, threatened staff and made them lie on the floor, before making off with cash and cigarettes at 10.50pm on Sunday (October 8).

Police are appealing for help in identifying the culprits and have asked anyone who might have witnessed something on the night, or recognise the distinctive clothing they were wearing to come forward.

A forensic examination of the scene has taken place and officers have reviewed CCTV footage – from which they have now released the photos.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote the reference number 527229878.
