Arrest after Gloucester Road serious assault
A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with an assault on Gloucester Road which left a 41-year old man with serious head injuries.
The 21-year-old came forward after police issued CCTV images of a man wearing a shirt and tie on Saturday morning.
The man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm over the incident which took place at 1.25am on Saturday morning at the junction with Zetland Road. Police cordoned off an area outside Sainsbury’s for much of Saturday while crime scene investigators were called in.
The victim was taken to Southmead Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
