Arrest over Fishponds double shooting

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after two men were shot in Fishponds.

Two men, aged 44 and 45, were shot and one was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an attack in The Greenway, Hillfields, at about 1am on Wednesday.

Police announced late on Wednesday that they were looking for a black male, around 6 feet tall, dressed in black with cropped dark hair.

Officers have stepped up patrols in the area since the shooting and are continuing to make inquiries.
