BBC comedy drama filmed in Bristol set to return to the small screen
Bristol provides the backdrop for a popular BBC comedy drama that is set to return to the small screen later this year.
Production has now wrapped on the hit family show Dodger, which will be back with three self-contained adventures including a Christmas special.
It is just one of the latest titles to be filmed at the Bottle Yard Studios in Hengrove and on location across the city, with assistance from Bristol Film Office.

Viewers can look out for locations such as All Saints Lane next to St Nick’s Market, which was dressed up in keeping with the Victorian era, complete with colourful bunting and an advertisement for ‘Rossini’s Carnival’.
The drama is based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist and will air on CBBC for three episodes, including a Christmas special.
The specials are written by Rhys Thomas and Lucy Montgomery, with Rhys also directing all three.
The pair said: “We are thrilled to be back for three exciting specials and even more thrilled to assemble such an amazing cast. We had great fun taking these characters on more adventures and we thank the BBC for giving us the platform to do so.”
The show will see Billy Jenkins return as Dodger, alongside Fagin played by Christopher Eccleston. Ellie-May Sheridan, Aabay Ali, Connor Curren and Mila Lieu also reprise their roles in the gang.
David Threlfall, Alex Kingston, Javone Prince, Saira Choudhry, James Fleet, Lenny Rush and Sam C Wilson also join the specials, along with some guest stars.
Picking up from series one, which ended with Dodger being deported to Australia in a ship filled with convicts, the first episode shows his ingenious escape back to London to reunite with Fagin and the gang and pull off their very own great train robbery.
