Bemmy Lanterns lights up BS3
Hundreds turned out to march, dance and hold hand-crafted lanterns aloft for south Bristol’s much-loved lantern parade on Saturday evening.
As the darkness fell, the annual event known as Bemmy Lanterns saw lanterns made by school children and community groups paraded through the streets of BS3, accompanied by a barrage of musical acts and hundreds of spectators.
It has become a rite of passage for mostly seven and eight-year-olds from schools across south Bristol.
