Body found in search for missing Abdulkadir Mahamoud

A body found by police divers is thought to be missing Abdulkadir Mahamoud.

Avon & Somerset police recovered the body from the River Avon close to Hotwell Road on Friday afternoon.

Abdulkadir, 29, from Easton, was reported missing on February 24. His disappearance was said to be “completely out of character”.

A police statement said: “Our underwater dive team has recovered the body of a man from the river off Hotwell Road in Bristol. The discovery was made at around 1.40pm.

“Although a formal identification has not been made, we believe it to be the body of missing 29-year-old Abdulakadir Mahamoud from Easton, who has been missing since 24 February.

“His family have been updated and our thoughts are with them.”
