Bristol Cars unveil new luxury car

By Bristol24/7  Friday Jul 29, 2016

Luxury car manufacturer Bristol Cars has unveiled its first new model since being rescued from administration by technology company Frazer-Nash in 2011.

The two-seater Bullet will go into production in 2017 and will be the company’s first new model since it debuted the Fighter sports car in 2004. It celebrates the company’s 70th anniversary, the design faithful to a former prototype found under a tarpaulin before the firm went into administration.

As you might expect of a car with a £250k price tag, the Bullet comes with matching luggage

Executives say the hand built car will have a top speed of 155 miles per hour, powered by a top-of-the-range V8 BMW engine, and cost “under £250,000”.

Bristol Cars began as an aeroplane maker, the Bristol Aeroplane Company, and turned its hand to luxury cars in 1946. It is currently taking order for the limited production run of 70 vehicles, the first of which will be delivered in January.
