Bristol Charity Advent Calendar 2022, Day 14: Bristol Nightline
Bristol Nightline is a charity that offers an impartial listening service.
It is specifically aimed at students, who can call during the night, from 8pm-8am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
No problem is too big or too small to be discussed and the charity offers a confidential and listening ear to the worries of students – whether university related or more personal matters.

The charity, which has the tagline ‘Here to listen, not lecture’, aims to give people a chance to speak things through. Rather than giving out advice they try and help callers reach find their own solutions on how to deal with a situation.
Bristol Nightline is part of a wider network of nightline charities which operate across 36 universities in the UK and Ireland.
If you are a university student, you can get involved by volunteering as a listener and taking calls and answering instant messages. You can register your interest through this link.
If you are interested in getting involved with the charity you can become a publicity volunteer or a welfare officer.
