is needed now More than ever
Since adopting St Anne’s House in Brislington in 2021, the space has become a community and creative hub, from which Bricks runs regular community activities, meet-up groups, workshops, exhibitions, and events.

As well as their base at St Anne’s, Bricks also works with communities around the city to develop public art projects – with current projects in Lockleaze, St Pauls, and Easton.
Bricks also runs an artist programme from its project space, where artists have access to the space for two to three weeks to create work, run classes, host talks and open an exhibition.
Previous artists include Arcade Campfa, Dhaqan Collective, Richard Allen, Yuko Edwards, Jonathan Kelham and Madame Ceski.
Their workspaces and offices are rented out to local businesses such as MAYK, East Bristol Contemporary, The Bio-Leadership Project and a variety of individual artists and freelancers.

The Bricks Podcasts is a chance to listen into the individual worlds of artists and creatives. Commissioned by Bricks, the episodes delve into the practice and storytelling of unique topics.
Bricks also has a strong focus on public art campaigns. Currently, they are asking local residents to have their say on the future of the Tabernacle, a Grade I listed building in Kingswood, for a community hub.
Their most recent exhibition will showcase Madame Ceski’s project ‘Sound Henge’, which will run from December 15-22.
Most recently, Bricks also announced it is publishing a new physical community newsletter which will be distributed to the local community of Brislington.
St Anne’s House recently joined the council’s Welcoming Space initiative, helping people access a free space for warm drinks and food, as well as books, games, art materials, Wi-Fi, charging ports, and a community laptop.
The space is open on Thursdays from 10am to 5pm.
