Pretty light show but what Ukrainians escaping from their home country really need is shelter and support. Is Bristol committing to welcoming large numbers of Ukrainian refugees?

I understand your concerns about Yemen and Palestine. Nightmarish and extremely complex situations that seem impossible to resolve. I also think the West’s recognition of Kosovo as and independent state despite it being an accepted part of Serbia was misguided. It set a precedent that was bound to be used against the west in the future. However all of these situations in no way justify Putins decision to invade Ukraine. It is quite simply a barbaric act that was completely unnecessary and hundreds if not thousands of innocent people, on both sides, are going to lose their lives. Russia was under no threat whatsoever. It is a tragedy and the responsibility lays firmly with Putin.
