My Bristol Favourites: Alex Beresford
TV presenter Alex Beresford will be hosting a new show for Made in Bristol which will feature a series of in-depth interviews with famous personalities. He is probably best known for his work in front of the camera as an ITV weatherman and host of Channel 4’s Britain’s Most Extreme Weather.
Here are Alex’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Wapping Wharf
is needed now More than ever

Many new restaurants have burst onto the scene in Bristol as part of the Wapping Wharf development
I love how this development has quickly grown, offering so much diversity in a great location of Bristol. On a sunny day you can eat good food, nose about in the shops and buy delicious ice cream that you can walk off along the Bristol docks.
Porto Lounge

Porto Lounge in Fishponds is a perfect spot for a chilled Sunday breakfast
In my house, we often get ready early and head out for breakfast. Porto Lounge offers a decent English breakfast and a chilled atmosphere for waking up in the morning.
Vassall’s Park

This park is hidden away in a residential area, however it doesn’t take long for you to be transported into nature. From fun in the park, to a leisurely stroll down along the river to Snuff Mills and beyond is sure to get rid of the stresses of a busy city life.
Caribbean Croft

Caribbean dishes and tasty rum cocktails are the order of the day at this Stokes Croft staple
A new favourite of mine is Caribbean Croft in Stokes Croft. I love the vibrant atmosphere and the opportunity to let my taste buds sample some good Caribbean dishes and tasty rum cocktails.
Clifton Village

People watching and daydreaming in Clifton Village
Often I perch on one of the stools upstairs in the Boston Tea Party that looks out onto Clifton Village. It’s a good spot for a bit of therapeutic people watching and day dreaming. It’s also an excuse for a bit of cake in one of the many coffee houses.
Inspire With Alex Beresford starts on Monday, September 4 at 8 pm and will form part of the Made Television Network’s autumn/winter programming line-up.Interviewees to date include former world champion boxer Lee Haskins, comedian Javone Prince and Bristol mayor Marvin Rees.
