Bristol film buffs take on Eggheads

By Cat Marshall  Monday Nov 28, 2016

Film fanatics from Bristol are taking on the challenge of beating the BBC’s formidabble Eggheads.

The team is made up of Timon Singh from Bristol Bad Film Club, David Taylor, Becca Lewis and Tara Judah who work in 20th Century Flicks and Pete Walsh from South West Silents, who are joining forces to take on the BBC’s top quiz masters.

Hoping that their hours spent in front of the silver screen pay off, Jeremy Vine put the quizzers through their paces to see if they can do enough to win the prize money.

“It started as a ridiculous plan to help finance the video shop over summer” David says,

“But it was a really nice day out in Glasgow. I’d never been to Glasgow before, we got put up in a hotel and went drinking until four in the morning after the show.”

Whether these were celebratory drinks, or if the team were drowning their sorrows will be revealed when the show airs on Thursday, December 1, BBC2 at 6pm.
