Bristol MP threatened over Syria airstrikes
“I’m going to smash her windows then drop a bomb on her house while she’s tucked up in bed. I’m going to find her and show her what it’s like to murder innocents.”
That was the message left on a Facebook page about Bristol North West MP Charlotte Leslie after she voted for an extension of airstrikes over Syria last week.
The man who sent the message, a Muslim convert from Willesdon who had just got out of prison for attempted robbery, now faces a possible jail sentence again after pleading guilty to making threats to kill.
Craig Wallace, 23, who goes by the name Muhammad Mujahid Islam and has a string of violent convictions including possession of a knife, appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Monday where his comments were read out, reported the Brent and Kilburn Times.
The comments, which were spotted on the UK Truth Movement Facebook page and reported to the police, ended with: “You dirty f***ing pig-sh***ing whore.”
Wallace’s defence claimed he had not had any sleep because he had been protesting for two or three days and was “venting his anger” when he left the comments. He is due to be sentenced on December 30.
A spokesperson for Charlotte Leslie said she would not be commenting on the court hearing.
