Bristol Port Company donates £25,000 to both Johnson and Hunt
The two men in the running to be the UK’s new prime minister have both received generous donations from The Bristol Port Company.
On May 22, First Corporate Shipping Ltd, who trade as The Bristol Port Company, donated £25,000 to Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt.
On Monday, Hunt described Bristol Port Company as a “thriving British business” when he visited Avonmouth.

First Corporate Shipping is a private company owned by Terence Mordaunt and David Ord.
In 1991, the company purchased a 150-year lease of the Avonmouth & Royal Portbury Docks from Bristol City Council.
The freehold of the docks estate was sold by the council for £10m in 2015, with the city retaining a 12.5 per cent shareholding in Bristol Port Company.
Former Bristol lord mayor, Chris Davies, the Lib Dem councillor for Knowle, currently serves as a director of First Corporate Shipping.
