Bristol teacher ‘secretly filmed’ children

A former teacher has been charged with making indecent images of children using hidden cameras at a Bristol private school.

Jonathan Thomson-Glover, 53, quit Clifton College, where he was a German teacher and housemaster, when he was arrested last year.

He now faces 36 counts of making, taking and possessing indecent images, relating to 120 pupils. None of the charges relate to “contact offences”, police said.

Before quitting last year, Thomson-Glover, from Cornwall, was a housemaster at the £30,000 a year private school since 1997. He also attended the school as a pupil between 1968 and 1980.

He has been released on bail to appear before Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 20.
