Bristol to Bath marathon taking place in 2015

The first details have been announced of a new marathon next year that will begin in Bristol and finish in Bath.

A detailed route of the 26.2-mile course has yet to be revealed for the race taking place on October 25.

Organisers of the Bristol + Bath Marathon promise fully closed roads, a beautiful and challenging route, historical sights and spectacular scenery.

Runners will be able to enter the race in the new year.

It comes three years after the latest attempt to host a Bristol Marathon in the city were thwarted as hundreds of runners signing up made the event too ambitious for race organisers to stage.
