Bristol24/7 needs your support to survive
Thousands of people across Bristol and beyond read Bristol24/7 every day: on our website, our free monthly magazine, our daily newsletter and across our social media channels.
But we need your support to ensure the survival of Bristol24/7.
The best way that you can do this is by becoming a member for just £5 per month. Your money goes directly towards supporting independent journalism and social impact projects.
is needed now More than ever
If you are reading this and you are already a member: thank you. It really does mean so much that our readers want to help us survive.
We need your support to continue producing the award-winning independent journalism that you have enjoyed since 2014.
We need your support to run our award-winning work experience programme which has seen hundreds of people being given their first taste of the media industry.
We need your support to print our free monthly magazine, which we have had to pause as most places that kindly stock it for us have had to temporarily close their doors, and advertising from fellow small businesses has almost completely dried up.
As the reality of the pandemic hit, we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to stop accepting articles from our small team of loyal freelance writers whose expertise usually guides you through Bristol’s cultural scene.
We have also had to furlough some of our sales staff and those of us still working full-time (three editorial staff, Ellie, Lowie and me; account manager, Adam; partnerships manager, Matt; and managing director, Ben; as well as our freelance membership marketing manager, Hannah) have all taken pay cuts.
This is a perilous time for local news at a time when it is needed more than ever.
By becoming a member, your support will help ensure that Bristol24/7 continues to be a crucial independent news service for Bristol for many years to come.
Thank you.
