Bristol’s festive lights trail returns
Chestnuts are roasting on Anchor Road, five gold rings are on the Arnolfini and figgy pudding has been brought to Waitrose on the Clifton Triangle.
The light projections are part of Christmas Adventures from Bristol City Centre BID and Redcliffe & Temple BID, with famous song lyrics and Christmas movie quotes projected onto buildings and floors.
The Ambling Band helped herald the start of the festive lights trail, walking from ‘Fa la la la la la la la la’ on St George’s Bristol to ‘Merry Christmas ya filthy animal’ on King Street.
is needed now More than ever
“As we enter the festive period, we invite all Bristolians to come into the city centre to explore areas they might not usually visit,” said director of BIDs, Keith Rundle.
“This trail provides a great opportunity to shop, eat, drink and make merry in the many brilliant and welcoming businesses.
“So head out into the city and discover a fabulous trail of Christmas projections for everyone to enjoy.
“It’s a free, healthy outdoor experience for family, friends, which also brings added custom to our many local businesses.”

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

Dancing through the snow

Ding dong merrily on high

Five gold rings

Hark! The herald angels sing

It’s the most wonderful time of the year

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
