Bristol’s richest down ?693m

The 2015 Sunday Times Rich List has revealed that Bristol’s richest families’ wealth has taken a tumble in the last 12 months.

Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown’s wealth is down £157m, and Peter Hargreaves – the second richest person in the South West (losing out only to Sir James Dyson and family) – has lost an estimated £496m. 

The loss is due as a decline in the overall value of the financial group they founded together.

Don’t feel too sorry for them though, both men still rank comfortably within the 100 richest people in UK and Ireland.
