Bus fire closes Bath Road

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Jul 16, 2015

Bath Road was closed in both directions near Arnos Vale cemetery after a fire tore through a bus.

The 349 Abus service was pulling away from the Paintworks when the driver noticed smoke coming from the engine at the rear.

An estimated 15-20 passengers were on board at the time, but no one was hurt.

The blaze also spread to two nearby parked cars.

Fire crews were called to the scene at about 10am. The road from Totterdown Bridge to Sandy Park was reopened to inbound traffic only at 10.45am.
