Campaign to get Concorde airborne again
Concorde could be risen from the dead by a campaign group aiming to get the supersonic passenger jet off the ground again.
Save Concorde Group has launched a petition almost 12 years since the last flight of the Bristol-built plane.
The group gathered 1,000 names in just 24 hours, calling on British Airways, Airbus, Air France and the British and French Governments to work together to bring the plane back for airshows.

Campaigners are asking why other historical planes are preserved for heritage shows while the Concorde sits in museums.
“All we ask, is for Concorde to have her rightful place amongst such festivities,” the group said.
Concorde, which was in service from 1976 to 2003, became an aviation icon and an engineering marvel flying faster than the speed of sound from London to New York in three hours.
One Concorde currently sits on the tarmac of the former Filton Airfield and will form part of the planned Bristol Aerospace Centre, to open in 2017.
