Children of the 90s participants invited to discovery day in Bristol
An event at the M Shed will celebrate the groundbreaking work of the decades-long Children of the 90s study.
Researchers from the ongoing project at the University of Bristol are keen to invite participants to come and celebrate the research that has been discovered in the 30 years the project has been active.
The project was first launched by Bristol University to study and follow babies born in the 90s, in order to discover trends in health and social behaviour. Scientists also studied the children’s parents, known as COCO90s.
is needed now More than ever
The schedule of the day includes an introduction from the principal Children of the 90s researcher, professor Nic Timpson.
Professor Jean Golding, now aged 83, who founded the project and is still a part of this research, will also be at the event as part of a Q&A with professor Ali Vowles.
There will also be talks on the menopause and genes, by Professor Rebecca Pearson; ‘Picky eating and your family’ with Dr Caroline Taylor; and using your health records to improve policy with Professor John Macleod.
Organisers of the project are keen for participants to send questions you may have about the project in advance to info@childrenofthe90s.ac.uk.
The event will be held on October 14 at the M Shed.
