Photos: Christmas jumper world record attempt

By Bristol24/7  Friday Dec 11, 2015

Students and staff at the University of Bristol have failed in their attempt to set a new world record for the number of people wearing Christmas jumpers in one place.

The university recorded 663 people at Royal Fort Gardens on Friday afternoon, sadly not enough to beat the current record held by Loughborough University.

The record attempt was organised by Above & Beyond – the charity which raises money for Bristol’s city centre hospitals.

In a statement, organisers said: “Although not broken today, we’ve lined up a perfect opportunity to break the record this time next year! Meanwhile we raised a large number of funds for Above and Beyond.”
