Traffic heavy but a calmer day after flooding
After the flooding and travel chaos on Monday Bristol is slowly getting back to normal.
Flood water in the worst hit area around Whitchurch is receding, leaving behind a trail of ruined cars.

Clean-up teams from Bristol City Council are in the area.
A city council spokesperson said: “Once the water has fully drained, the council will request that Bristol Waste carries out a full clean-up of the area. Due to the scale of the situation across the city, we’d welcome any support from the public helping to clear leaves collecting in gully grids, but only if it’s safe to do so.”
It’s still raining but BBC weatherman Ian Fergusson says the worst of the weather will be over by Wednesday:

Traffic is queuing on the M32, with reports on the BBC travel news that there is a severe accident.
