Couple petition for “Idris to meet Idris” on wedding day

By Ngaio Anyia  Wednesday Mar 15, 2017

A Horfield couple have started a petition to get Idris Elba to make an appearance at their Tetbury wedding which is the same day the actor/DJ will be playing in Bristol.

Dr Aisha Egala and her husband to be Chef Morgan Davies (dubbed Idris during the couple’s Ghanaian wedding last month) were ecstatic when they heard the famous actor and aspiring DJ was set to be playing in Bristol at Motion on the same day as their wedding and have made it their mission to get Idris to meet Idris.

The petition reads:

On Saturday 8th April, two momentous occasions will occur. The stars will align for a fleeting moment. All events, past and future, will echo in the present with incredible gravity.

The events in question: the wedding of Aisha Egala to Morgan “Idris” Davies at Tetbury, near Bristol, and the headline DJ slot of the ladies’ favourite, Idris Elba, at Motion Bristol.

Chef Morgan Davies has recently been inaugurated into the Ghanaian ranks of the Egala family and was dubbed Idris by the Imam at the ceremony. This choice of name may have in part been influenced by the charismatic big-screen namesake.

What could be more fitting than for the two legends to meet on this special day?

Please sign this petition in an attempt to get the attention of Mr Elba, and possibly even to persuade him to make a cameo at what will certainly be the Wedding Of The Year (with capitals!).

Idris meets Idris – let’s make it happen!
