Cyclist seriously injured in lorry crash

A cyclist has been seriously injured following a collision with a lorry on Wednesday morning.

Police, fire and ambulance crews all attended the scene on the corner of Tyndall’s Park Road and Elmdale Road in Clifton and road closures remain on Tyndall’s Park Road, between Whiteladies Road and Woodland Road.

Neighbouring Elmdale Road has also been shut.

Police say they were called to the crash involving an adult cyclist and HGV at 8.50am on Wednesday morning and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The road closures are expected to remain in place while collision investigators examine the scene and the vehicle is recovered.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call 101 and give the reference 234 of 22 September.
