The newlywed couple Shrien and Anni Dewani were allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint in Gugulethu, a township near Cape Town, on November 13, 2010. Her body was discovered in the back of a taxi the following day – the 28-year-old had been shot in the neck.

The businessman from Westbury-on-Trym was extradited to South Africa earlier this year.
